From Atlanta to the World
Creating access, confidence, leadership, and community through the universal language of sport.
Building confident women on and beyond the court through leadership, wellness, education, economic opportunity, and community.
Gaati Werema is the founder of Ladies of the Game, a former professional athlete, and a community developer whose work sits at the intersection of sports, media, finance, public service, and social impact.
Alongside her public-sector work, she has built mission-aligned ventures, cultivated brand partnerships, developed community relationships, pursued grant funding, and collaborated across the sports ecosystem—including work connected to the Atlanta Hawks and relationships with respected sports figures such as Hall of Famer Edgerrin James.
Of Haitian and Kenyan ancestry, Gaati brings a global lens to leadership and community development. Her work is centered on helping people move from visibility to ownership, from participation to leadership, and from short-term opportunity to sustainable impact.
She is also the founder of Game Commanders, Inc., a nonprofit focused on economic development through sports-based and community initiatives.
“Credibility matters. But what we build with that credibility—and who gains access because of it—is the real measure of impact.”
From community spaces and youth programs to professional sports environments, Ladies of the Game creates access, confidence, leadership, and connection through sport.
